Following the cancellation of the HSC conference in Glasgow, HAUC(UK) and RAUC(S) held a scaled down one day conference in Victoria Quay, Edinburgh, on 2 June 2011. The second day of the Transport Scotland and SCOTS conference looked at road works management, focussing on safety at road works, whether the management of works is improving and possible carrots and sticks to bring about improvements. The aim of this seminar was to build upon a previous seminar held in March 2009, now that there is more practical experience in dealing with the issues involved.
