The Scottish Government launched a consultation on The Scottish Road Works Register (Prescribed Fees) Regulations 2010 on 19th November 2009. The regulations set out the method of calculation for the fees that are required to be paid as a condition of access to the Scottish Road Works Register. The Scottish Government launched a consultation on the Road Works (Inspection Fees) (Scotland) Amendment Regulations 2010 on 16th November 2009. The regulations amend the fee for chargeable inspections that are carried out by road works authorities on undertakers works. It is recommended that the fee shall increase to £31.00 from 1st April 2010. All comments should be forwarded to Iain Gardiner at iain.gardiner@scotland.gsi.gov.uk.
